In my practice, I use painting as a way to question traditional forms in art and to draw attention to the space that exists behind the surface, as well as the space that extends beyond the painting’s physical borders.

Having started as a painter, every element of a painting holds deep significance in my work—the stretcher, the paint, and the canvas each have their own boundaries and characteristics that invite exploration and challenge.

No two pieces are ever truly the same. Even when they appear similar, the environments and contexts in which they are created are always shifting. Each experience brings something new, allowing the work to continuously evolve and take on new meaning over time.
